What is Emotional Assertiveness Model ® (EA)?

From years of research on effective corporations and schools, we learnt that where values are focussed on developing excellent people skills, companies and schools become more efficient and profitable. From this, the Emotional Assertiveness Model was developed through research out of the UK by John Parr MSc to offer personal development in being emotionally intelligent, and to show people how to use their emotions in a healthy way.

As a manager, employee, school teacher, parent or in life, our greatest assets are our relationships and to be able to get the best from people. Most people work at the top of their efficiency and are happiest when they are a part of a healthy functional group or team.

Emotional Assertiveness or EQ is the key to facilitating healthy relationships and a healthy work and home environment.

In this course you will learn how to be in touch with what is most healthy in your emotional expressions and to extinguish those behaviours that lead to unproductive competitiveness and conflict.

When do you use it?

You will learn to practice these skills, not only in your personal lives but also in the workplace for corporates, schools and in government. It can also be used for cross culture communication.

You will learn to:

  • Be more aware of your and other people’s emotions.

  • Develop your people skills by managing varying emotions.

  • Encourage cooperation and team work through group development.

  • Identify unhealthy behaviours in communicating.

  • Develop stronger, more meaningful relationships.

  • Become more assertive.

Structure online & on location

Emotional Assertiveness ® Core Topics is a 3 day program, however for organisations, schools and in-house training, the programs can be tailored to suit time requirements. Including introductory 90min workshops, 1/2 day and full yearly programs.

Online Core Topics sessions: 6 x 2:30 hr sessions over 3 weeks.
Face to Face public: 3 days in Sydney or booked through your organisation.
Schools: Blended training available via Zoom and face to face on the school campus for training to the executive, teachers and students.
Corporates & government: 1/2 day to 3 day training programs tailored to needs.
